The foot of Mt. Daisen in western Tottori Prefecture is called "Bisui no Sato" and is a treasure trove of materials created by the gods in the great outdoors. The area is blessed with local resources such as "water," "ingredients," "hot springs," and "myths."

"Meishui Tofu" sold at Yodoe Yume Onsen has many fans from near and far, and you can enjoy exquisite tofu dishes

Goats have the image of a mountain because they are written as mountain sheep in Chinese characters, but the goats at Mei-chan Farm are spending their time leisurely in a place overlooking the Sea of Japan. ●Kamiyodo Haiji Temple Ruins
Ancient temple ruins built in the latter half of the 7th century (Asuka period). Including the oldest Buddhist mural painting in Japan, statues (sozou) have been excavated all at once and are attracting attention. It is erected with a double tiled platform that is often found in kudara, with a unique sangharama arrangement with three north-south towers (two of which are sure to be built) to the east of the main hall. As a result of the survey, it has been found that it has the largest precincts of a local temple, with 2 east-west towns (212m) and 1 north-south town (106m).

●Cosmos Way Around Manai
In autumn, you can see cosmos flowers in various places along the roadside in Yodoe-cho. These are a result of the event”Cosmos way making ” that is held in june at the Yodoe Public Hall Udagawa annex when the cosmos seeds are sown.
 
●Amenomanai
One of the 100 best waters designated by the Ministry of the Environment, one of the best waters in the Sanin region. Boasting a daily amount of 2,500 tons of spring water, the clear water that springs up at last is indispensable for the lives of local people, such as domestic water, agricultural water, and rainbow trout farming.

●Hongu no Izumi
"Hongu no Izumi" is a famous water spring designated by the prefecture that produces 15,000 tons of water per day, which has a cool air even in the middle of summer. It is also famous for having the only subtropical plant of Neocheiropteris in the western part of the prefecture, and you can witness the rich nature of the spring.

●Kayashima Shrine
A shrine that enshrines two gods, Amaterasu Omikami and Amaterasu Takahime no Mikoto. It is believed that it was erected by Kinarimori, who was a local lord. It is written in ancient documents that it was built before 1545.

●Seaside Sports Park Campground
It is an outdoor zone where you can hear the sound of the waves and feel the sea breeze that blows through the pine forest. It is possible to use it for a day trip such as barbecue as well as accommodation camp.

●Hiyoshi Shrine
An intangible cultural property designated by the city with a tradition of over 370 years.There is a traditional event held on May 3rd every year, and the voice of "Yoi to makase" echoes throughout the town. It is the largest and most ancient festival in which more than 200 believers parade in a line with lion dances and floats.

●Mt.Tsubokameyama
Mt.Tsubokameyama, which straddles Yodoecho Nishibara, Fukuyori, Fukui, etc., has about 4.7 hectares of tea plantations, and is mainly gathered near the summit where you can see the magnificent Daisen. Tea is picked three times a year, and the first tea is picked in early May.

●Japanese Umbrella Tradition Hall
The origin of the Yodoe umbrella was that Kurayoshiya Shuzo, who came to Yodoe from Kurayoshi in 1821, opened an umbrella shop, and in the Taisho era, 71 manufacturers produced annually. The quantity has reached 170,000, and it is said that the shipping destinations have spread all over western Japan. After that, it declined due to the spread of Western umbrellas, and the last one was closed in 1984, and the tradition is carried on by the "Yodoe Umbrella Traditioners' Association".

●Tottori Prefectural Fisheries Cooperative Association Yodoe Branch
Various fish species are landed at the Yodoe fishing port throughout the year.
There are various types of fishing, including gillnet, single fishing, longline fishing, skin diving, and small set net fishing.
In addition, there is octopus trap fishing that is held only in yodoe in tottori prefecture.
In particular, we are proud of the prefecture's top class landing in single fishing for Sawara(a Spanish mackerel).

●Mukibanda Historic Site Park
Mukibanda Yayoi Ruins, a national historic site, is a large Yayoi period ruins formed on a hill at an altitude of 90 to 150 m overlooking Miho Bay (Sea of Japan) at the foot of Mt.Daisen.

●Daisenji Temple
A historic old temple on the hillside of Mt.Daisen. During the Heian-Muromachi period, it was extremely prosperous. Currently, only 4 chapels and 10 branch offices are left.

●Tottori Prefctural Flower Park Tottori Hanakairo
One of the largest flower parks in Japan at the foot of Mt.Daisen. There is a large greenhouse flower dome with a diameter of 50m and a height of 21m, and an observation corridor with a circumference of 1km and 25m above the ground.
Regardless of the season or weather, you can enjoy the flowers of Japan and abroad that bloom all through the year.

Waterfowl Paradise is the southern most place in Japan used as a wintering ground for tundra swans.
